CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte - Mecklenburg school (CMS) district leaders say there were 11 allegations of inappropriate behavior when it came to students end of the year standardized testing. The district says six of them came back showing illegal activity occurred.

They range from not having enough proctors in the classroom when testing was taking place to staff assisting students while they were taking the test.  Most of the violations took place at Vance High School and at James Martin Middle.

As a result about 1000 students had to retake their End of Course and End of Grade test.

Last year 300 CMS students had to take their test over again because of reports of inappropriate behavior happening while students were testing.  And 14 allegations of illegal activity.

CMS says it will not tolerate this type of behavior and will continue the proper training so staff will know what is and is not allowed.

The district would not comment about disciplinary actions taken against those involved.
