CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - When you own an NBA team, you don't want to live too far away from the arena where they play.
When you're Michael Jordan, you can afford to spend a few bucks on an address with style.
It looks like Jordan can check both from his list as he prepares to move into The Trust on North Tryon Street.
Several sources are telling us Jordan has agreed to move into the 7th floor penthouse in the building that sits over Brazilian restaurant Chima.
Right now, the 7th floor is a mess of construction with crews working hard to transform the more than 7,000 square foot space into the perfect pad for the basketball great. However, a quick peek inside showed us it's surrounded by windows with a great view of Time Warner Cable Arena.
"I like it here, my neighbors like it here, I hope he likes it here," said Doug Ehmann.
Ehmann lives on the 5th floor. He says Jordan stopped by his place when he was checking out the building to see what the units look like.
"He was very nice, he said he liked my place. He looked around. Didn't ask too many questions but he was a really nice guy," Ehmann said.
