UNC basketball team arrives back in Raleigh; Thousands cheer for the team

RALEIGH, NC (WBTV) - The UNC basketball team arrived at Raleigh-Durham International Airport around 1:30 p.m.

The team beat Michgan State during the NCAA Championship game Monday night.

After the UNC players deboarded a private charter jet, they go onto buses and were escorted from the airport to the Dean E. Smith Center for a pep rally with thousands of fans who were waiting to cheer the team on.

The tropy and net were placed on a table while various officials and team members spoke to the crowd.

We'll have more on the UNC team's arrival back to North Carolina starting at 5 p.m.
