Chilly mornings continue but a gradual warm-up is ahead
Near-record temperatures expected by this weekend!
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Our string of chilly mornings will continue through Wednesday morning as lows bottom out in the low 40s.
- Work week: Sunshine, getting warmer each day
- Weekend: Highs in the 80s
- Halloween preview: Cooling back down, stray shower chance
With high pressure in control and lots of sunshine expected throughout the day, temperatures will quickly warm into the upper 70s by the afternoon hours.
From there, each morning and afternoon will gradually get a little warmer leaving us near the 80-degree mark by Friday afternoon.
Overhead, a building ridge of high pressure will allow for highs in the low to mid-80s from Saturday afternoon through Monday of next week, which will push us pretty close to record high temperatures! Sunshine will prevail through the weekend.
By Halloween, our next cold front will be moving overhead. Although a stray shower or two looks possible, the bigger story will be the much colder temperatures expected to move in behind the front. Tuesday will be our transition day with near-normal conditions. Stay tuned for frequent forecast updates as we get closer!
