WBTV remembers Steve Crump

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - On Your Side Tonight honored the life and legacy of Steve Crump.

Steve was a man that changed the lives of those around him.

Steve’s current and former colleagues shared some of their favorite memories. We also took a look back at Steve’s final story.

Two services have been announced in remembrance: The first will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 at University Park Baptist Church at 6029 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte.

The second takes place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 1400 Suther Road in Charlotte.

A fundraiser has been started to honor Steve’s legacy. The family has asked that individuals consider donating to the Steven G. Crump Educational Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.
