CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - First Alert: Severe storms are possible daily through the start of the weekend.
Very hot and humid conditions linger through Saturday!
- First Alert: Thursday through Saturday
- Weekend showers and storms lead to “cooler” temperatures
- Back to the 80s Sunday and Monday
Wednesday was another very hot, humid, and active day across the Carolinas! Although a few showers and rumbles of thunder are possible overnight into Thursday morning, earlier storms worked over much of the area, leaving our severe threat tonight very low. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 70s for most tonight before rebounding back into the mid-upper 90s by the afternoon hours.
Feels like temperatures will once again exceed the 100-degree mark Thursday afternoon before scattered to numerous storms redevelop by the second half of the day. Severe weather will once again be possible, a trend that will continue into the start of the weekend.
Plan for rain and storms on Saturday as a cold front moves through, with lingering showers possible Sunday. That front will finally usher in some “cooler” and drier conditions for the start of next week!
The break will be short-lived, however, we’re back to the mid 90s by the end of the 7-day forecast!
