CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Today will bring rain for the first half of the day. There could be heavier pockets at times. It will taper off to showers this afternoon and the week ahead will be dry.

  • Rain to start
  • 40s all day!
  • Warmer and dry this week

If you have any plans for the first half of today, I hope they’re inside. Rain is a good bet through at least lunchtime.

This afternoon the showers will be spottier. Skies will remain mostly cloudy though. Temperatures will struggle all day and most of us won’t make it out of the 40s, even this afternoon.

Tonight will bring clearing and drying. Lows will fall to the mid-30s and that’s about the coolest it will be all week. With plenty of sun, highs will reach the low 60s on Monday afternoon. Tuesday will be much the same.

By Wednesday, we will jump to the low 70s and we could be in the mid-70s on Thursday. Both days will be mild and dry.

Rain chances stay low right into next weekend. Highs will be close to 70 on Friday and Saturday.

Make it a great day!
