Charlotte man killed in Lancaster County crash, authorities say

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. (WBTV) – One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash that happened over the weekend in Lancaster County, authorities said.

According to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened just before 2 p.m. Saturday near the 8900 block of Kershaw Camden Highway in Kershaw.

The driver of the Chevrolet SSR was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said. The victim has been identified as 77-year-old Richard Arthur Kruse, of Charlotte, according to officials.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
