STATESVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Department of Transportation contractors will close a portion of an Iredell County road for several months starting next week.

Beginning July 26, Jennings Road will be closed between Tomlin Mill and Raider roads while crews begin construction of a new bridge over the South Yadkin River. Work is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2022

All traffic will be detoured to Friendship and Raider roads.

Motorists should use caution while approaching the work zone and plan for delays due to the detour.
