CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - A woman wanted for multiple charges from a hit-and-run crash in Lancaster County has turned herself over to the authorities.

Ji’Taja Ozionna Crockett, 21, was being sought by the Lancaster Police Department for a hit and run with minor personal injury, aggravated assault and high battery.

Shortly before midnight, on Wednesday, July 21, Crockett was allegedly seen intentionally sideswiping a vehicle while one female victim was standing in the area of the driver’s side door.

Officials say both the vehicle and the victim were struck in the incident. The victim was treated for injuries at a nearby medical facility. An arrest warrant was then obtained, charging Crockett with the listed offenses.

Crockett turned herself in on Thursday, July 22.
