LINCOLNTON, N.C. (WBTV) - A motorcyclist died early overnight after an accident in Lincoln County.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the accident at 6:30 a.m. on Bethel Church Road. Crews determined Zachary Scott Pless, of Iron Station, ran off the road to the left in a curve and hit a wooden fence.

Pless was ejected and died of his injuries on scene.

Officers say he died overnight, but wasn’t found until hours later by a passerby.
