Police: 1-year-old ‘inadvertently’ shot during dispute between family members in NW Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A 1-year-old was hurt in a shooting Saturday in northwest Charlotte.

According to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, the child is expected to be OK after getting shot in the hand.

The shooting happened during a “domestic altercation” between family members on Isaac Hunter Drive, police said. The child was shot “inadvertently.”

The suspected shooter was arrested.

The child was taken to Atrium Health - Main.
