Charlotte 49ers win their 11th straight game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - With a sweep of a double header today over Texas San Antonio, the 21st ranked Charlotte 49ers have won 11 straight games and in both games, the Niners had to come back to win.

In game 1, Charlotte fell behind 3-0 before their bats came to life in the 4th inning.

Dominic Pilolli got the comeback started with a solo homerun in the 4th. Pilolli was 3 for 4 in game one and drove in 4 runs.

Charlotte scored 2 runs in the 4th and 7 runs in the 6th as they won going away 10-6.

In game 2, UTSA once again had a lead before Charlotte got hot at the dish.

Road Runners up 10-6 in the 5th, but the Niners would get another Pilolli homerun to drive in 2 runs.

With the game tied at 10 in the 6th, LuJames Groover would give the Niners the lead with a solo homerun.

David McCabe also had a homer in the game as Charlotte would win 11-10.

That makes 11 straight wins for the Niners.

The same 2 teams will wrap up their series Sunday at noon at Hayes Stadium.
