Man charged with murder after missing girlfriend found dead in Gastonia
GASTONIA, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was arrested and charged with murder after his missing girlfriend was found dead in Gastonia.
Cherie Shavon Ingram, 38, was reported missing to Gastonia Police on April 8. At that time was last seen leaving S. South St. on March 27.
On April 12, officials say Ingram’s body was found in a wooded area on North Broad Street.
Officials say Ingram’s boyfriend, 40-year-old Keon Latroy Pernell, was charged with first-degree murder in Ingram’s death. Pernell is in the Gaston County Jail.
