CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The Vaccine Team is answering your questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Mandy asked us: “I am 58 and do not have health issues. Can I get the vaccination? Confused on the 55 and up rule.”

Mandy, it depends on where you live. In North Carolina, vaccines are available to people 65 and up regardless of health conditions or if you live in a long-term care center. To be eligible in North Carolina at 58, you’d need to be a frontline essential worker. South Carolina is open for anyone 55 and up -- frontline worker or not.

If you have a question, email the Vaccine Team. You can also submit a question online at wbtv.com/vaccine. The questions we’ve already answered are also on our app.
