CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A motorcyclist killed in an east Charlotte crash Thursday evening has been identified by police as 26-year-old Devin Williams.
The crash happened just after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Albemarle Road and Nathanael Greene Lane. Police say a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling at a high rate speed when it struck a GMC Sierra. Police arrived to find the motorcycle engulfed in flames.
The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Williams, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the GMC was not hurt and was not impaired, officials say. Toxicology reports are pending for Williams.
