CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - WBTV’s Vaccine Team is getting a lot of questions about the second dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
Right now, North Carolina has administered over 1.4 million doses of the first shot. Just under a million people have completed the vaccine.
Mary asked WBTV’s Vaccine Team, “Does the Moderna shot contain the same amount of vaccine in each dose?”
The answer is yes!
Both the first and second doses of the Moderna, as well as the Pfizer vaccines, contain the same amount in each shot.
This question isn’t that unusual because many have reported feeling more side effects from their second shot of the COVID vaccine. The CDC has this information on what you can expect after your shot.
The CDC says side effects, “Are normal signs that your body is building protection”.
