Delayed vaccine delivery forces Rock Hill vaccination clinic to close for a day

ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - The delay of vaccine delivery has forced a vaccination clinic to close for one day on Wednesday in Rock Hill.

Officials say delivery of the vaccine supply is delayed this week due to the Presidents Day federal holiday.

This leads to the need to close the clinic on Wednesday, Feb. 17 and reschedule second dose appointments that day to Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021.

This is the Rock Hill Piedmont Community Vaccination Clinic on Dave Lyle Blvd, in the Galleria Mall.

People scheduled to receive their second doses on Wednesday should come to the clinic on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the time shown on their Vaccination Record Card.

It’s very important they bring that card to their second appointment.

Per CDC guidance, the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine may be administered up to six weeks after the first dose.
