CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Sunshine blasted back on Tuesday in the wake of a gloomy, chilly and wet Monday.
But those clear skies may come back to haunt us overnight as that will allow surface temperatures to cool rapidly and fall to the dewpoint temperature.
When that happens, dew forms, or in this case… fog.
Give yourself some extra time before you get on the road in the morning and drive carefully.
Once the fog burns off, plenty of sunshine will grace our skies again on Wednesday and we will carry the pretty weather through Thursday as well.
Clouds increase Friday with some showers rolling across the region Friday evening and overnight. If that timing holds, this won’t be very disruptive as it should depart quickly by Saturday morning.
On the backside of this system, colder air will return to the viewing area setting up a pretty but cold weekend.
