More White House aides resign in wake of Capitol violence
The immediate departures come hours after violent protesters stormed the Capitol, and the president failed to condemn the riots.

WASHINGTON D.C. (CBS News) - White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthew has resigned, sources familiar with her resignation confirm to CBS News.

White House social secretary Rickie Niceta has also resigned, two sources said.

The immediate departures come hours after violent protesters stormed the Capitol, and the president failed to condemn the riots.

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s chief of staff, also resigned on Wednesday.
