CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Watauga County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Monday due to snow-covered roads.

“Due to some snow covered roads and the potential for additional mixed precipitation throughout the morning, Watauga County Schools will operate on a two hour delay for all in-person and WVA students,” the district said.

Buses will travel regular routes routes except Blowing Rock and Green Valley, where they will run Limited A.  Watauga County Schools says teachers and staff may report on a two hour delay to ensure safe travels to work.

Students who are scheduled to take their EOC or CTE post assessment should plan to report to school prepared to test at 10:30 a.m.

The district says they will continue to monitor conditions and will communicate any schedule changes before 7:30 a.m.
