CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A wind out of the northwest will do two things today. It will bring snow showers to the high elevations and cold temperatures for everyone!
Additional accumulations of an inch or so can’t be ruled out but we aren’t looking at a lot more than what we have right now. The temperatures will be noticeably different for everyone. While we didn’t start out that cold this morning, it just won’t warm much by the afternoon.
Highs only top out in the mid 40s. Add the wind to that and it will feel like the 30s or low 40s through the afternoon.
Tonight will be even colder. Lows will fall to the teens in the mountains and the 20s outside of the mountains. That will be the coldest air we have seen since March. By tomorrow afternoon, we will reach the low 50s before falling back to the 20s going into Thursday morning.
Thursday through the weekend, temperatures will reach the mid 50s. Lows won’t be quite as cold. We will be in the mid to upper 30s overnight. There is another chance for showers on Friday and Saturday.
Stay warm today!
