CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - We just can’t seem to shake the warm weather – so we may as well enjoy it! We will again be above average for a high temperature today. (As we will for the entire extended forecast.) Both Saturday and Sunday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 70s. Lows will only fall to the mid to upper 50s. Rain chances stand at only 10% each day.

Monday will look and feel a lot like the weekend. Highs will be in the mid 70s with a 20% chance for a stray shower.

The rest of the week is at the mercy of Eta. Right now, the storm is a depression, which should strengthen back to tropical storm status. It is on the way to Cuba before getting very close to southern Florida on Monday. From there, it will move out into the Gulf of Mexico. The concern isn’t necessarily for the storm to move through the Carolinas. It is the circulation around the storm that should funnel in tropical moisture and bring us rain. The rain chance starts to go up on Tuesday with the best chances being on Wednesday and Thursday. There could still be some rain left around on Friday. The models aren’t totally agreeing on the timing of the rain. For now, there is a First Alert for Wednesday and Thursday. That is subject to change as Eta gets a little closer to the US. We will be tracking it all the way.

Make the most of your weekend!
