Crews working to control fire at Shelby scrapyard

SHELBY, N.C. (WBTV) - At least 10fire departments are on scene at the Auto Parts U Pull & Scrap Metal of Shelby & Charlotte where a fire has been burning uncontrolled for since 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The scrap yard is located in Shelby, close to Highway 74. Smoke could be seen from the road.
One person was transported to Winston Salem with burn injuries.
Tankers have been requested.
