N.C. Senator Thom Tillis to make final campaign push this weekend in Charlotte, Greensboro

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis will be campaigning in Charlotte on Saturday, just three days ahead of Election Day.

The Republican senator is running for re-election against Democratic candidate Cal Cunningham.

Tillis will meet with supporters for his “Get Out the Vote” rally, beginning at 9 a.m.

He will be joined by former South Carolina governor and former United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

The rally will be at Noble Smoke, located at 2216 Freedom Drive, in Charlotte.

Saturday is also the final day for one-stop early voting in North Carolina.

State election officials say that absentee ballots must be received by Nov. 12.

Tillis will then have a rally in Greensboro, at Illuminating Technologies, with Congressman Ted Budd.

According to the latest CBS Battleground Tracker, Tillis trails Cunningham by six percentage points.
