NORTH CAROLINA (WBTV) - More than 4 million ballots have been cast in North Carolina for the 2020 general election.
Election Day this year is on Nov. 3, and the final day for one-stop early voting will be on Saturday, Oct. 31.
According to the North Carolina State Board of Elections, as of 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, 3,141,697 one-stop early voting ballots had been cast while 881,168 absentee ballots had been cast.
To put that into perspective, about 3.15 million North Carolinians voted by mail or one-stop early voting during the 2016 general election.
There are more than 7.3 million registered voters in North Carolina, according to the board of elections.
