Two injured after north Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two people were seriously injured after shots broke out in north Charlotte.
The shooting happened near the intersection of W. Sugar Creek and Gibbon road just after 7 p.m. When police arrived, they found a person had been hit by a vehicle. Medic transported that person with life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after that, police responded to Stroud Park Court and found a person injured with a gunshot wound. They were also transported by Medic with life-threatening injuries. Police say they are believed to have been at the West Sugar Creek Road location and then traveled to Stroud Park Court.
The shooting appeared to have taken place around the filming location of a music video for DaBaby. The “Rockstar” rapper posted on his Instagram account that he “wasn’t there for the ‘shootout.'”
