UNION COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - The Union County Board of Education has voted to add one more day of in-person learning to the Plan B schedule.

This means students will be back in the classroom for two days a week. The schedule change will begin Sept. 29.

There have been multiple positive coronavirus cases in the UCPS district since school returned.

School officials say the board will meet again in a few weeks to review data and discuss next steps.
