Man dies from shooting in parking lot of southeast Charlotte apartment complex

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in southeast Charlotte.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. on the 6200 block of Balsam Fir Drive.

There, officers found a man, identified as 25-year-old Rahim L. Martin-Byrd, with an apparent gunshot wound in the apartment complex parking lot. Medic pronounced him deceased on scene.

Thus far no arrests have been made.
