MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - A bomb threat forced an evacuation at a Walmart and surrounding businesses in Iredell County Thursday afternoon.

The threat was made at the Walmart on Norman Station Road, which is off of W. Plaza Drive near I-77, in Mooresville. Police confirmed the Walmart and surrounding businesses were evacuated.

Officials were advising the public to stay away from the area.

There is no word on who may have made the threat. Police have not said if they believe the threat was credible.
