CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The first-ever holiday ‘lighting’ at Levine Children’s Hospital will take place Friday night and everyone in the community is invited to join in on the celebration.
Those who attend will be asked to join together and shine flashlights into the windows of the hospital rooms where children inside will be shining their own flashlights back out to the public. The lights are meant to represent the support of everyone in the community for these young patients as well as a commitment to a better tomorrow.
The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and will take place in Parking Lot A directly in front of the hospital off of Blythe Boulevard. Cookies, cocoa and music will all be included as part of the gathering before the actual lighting takes place at 7:30 p.m.
There is no need to RSVP and those interested are just asked to show up at their convenience.
