CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was shot multiple times during a robbery in Charlotte, then drove himself to a hospital in Huntersville Thursday night.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the incident happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Featherbrook Road around 6:30 p.m.

The man was reportedly approached by male suspects, who robbed him.

Police say the man was shot by the suspects multiple times during the robbery.

The man was later found in the parking lot of Novant Health in Huntersville, as police say he drove himself there after the shooting.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
