GASTONIA, N.C. (WBTV) - Police say a man was rushed to the hospital after being shot in an apparent home invasion in Gastonia late Thursday night.

According to Gaston County Communications, the incident happened on Rhyne Street.

Gastonia Police say a man was shot in the stomach in what appears to be a home invasion. Police say the man was at home with his sister when he was shot.

The man was rushed to the hospital, but there’s no word on his current condition.

There’s no word on how many people were involved, any arrests or possible suspects.
