One person seriously injured at West Charlotte building collapse

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Medics are currently on the scene of a structure collapse in West Charlotte in which one person reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries.

The building is located off of Freedom Drive and medics at the location are still determining if there were any further injuries suffered. The individual who was confirmed injured has been transported to the hospital.

Calls regarding the collapse first came in to first responders around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
