2 charged in connection with drive-by shooting that left 1 injured in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Officials have charged two people in connection with a drive-by shooting that left one person injured in Charlotte on May 28.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, 16-year-old Reginald Harrison and 18-year-old Emanuel Cuffie have been charged with four counts of attempted murder and four counts of conspiracy for a shooting that occurred on Juniper Drive.

Police responded to Juniper Drive regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service on May 28 around 8 p.m.

The investigation revealed that four men were standing in front of a home on Juniper Drive when a car drove past them several times before one of the people in the car began shooting at the victims.

One of the victims was shot in the leg during the incident and taken to the hospital before officers arrived. No other injuries were reported during the incident.

Information and evidence gathered during the investigation revealed that both suspects were involved in the incident. Warrants were obtained and the suspects were arrested.
