CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - We hit our first 90° day of the season over the weekend, but now temps are getting ready to fall back for a little bit, at least for the early part of the work week.
A weak front will swing through the WBTV viewing area today, temporarily returning temps to the mid-upper 80s for the start of the new work week.
This front continues to trend drier and drier, so storm coverage holds around 20% for the evening hours.
Beyond that, our first true heat wave of the season is set to begin on Thursday, with temps in the low to mid 90s for several days in a row leading into and running right through the Memorial Day Weekend. Rain chances will remain very low going into the weekend while we challenge record high temperatures!
Hope you have a great week,
- Meteorologist Al Conklin
