CMS bus involved in crash in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirmed one of their buses was involved in an accident Monday morning.

The bus had 23 students on board heading to Whitewater Middle School when it was involved in a collision at Freedom Drive and Eagles Landing Drive.

According to MEDIC, four students were evaluated on scene. In total, six patients were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A majority of the damage on the bus looks to be on the rear panel at the back of the bus.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department also responded to the accident involving the school bus and another vehicle this morning. According to police, no one was transported to the hospital.
