Three wounded after Morganton confrontation leads to shootings, stabbings

MORGANTON, N.C. (WBTV) - A confrontation at a home in Morganton sent three people to the hospital Friday afternoon, according to officials.

The scene unfolded around 10:46 a.m. at a home on Lenoir Road. A man living at the home was shot, a woman was stabbed, and a second man was shot and stabbed, officials say. Two small children were apparently inside the home at the time.

In a 911 call, released Friday afternoon, the man who was shot described the situation to police.

“I just got robbed and shot,” the man said. “Somebody just came in and pulled a gun on me, and I believe I’m hit.”

“They just kept shooting me with a little gun, like a little tiny gun,” the man said.

In the 911 call, a child can be heard crying in the background.

“My son is crying,” the man said.

The man and woman who didn’t live at the home jumped in their car and left after the incident.

All three individuals involved in the incident were taken to the hospital where they are currently being treated.

No further information has been released at this time as law enforcement begins to investigate the matter.
