CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Hot and dry, hot and dry, hot and dry. This will be the story over the next couple afternoons. With that being said, we aren't completely guaranteeing that everybody makes it through the weekend rain-free, but with storm coverage holding around 20% that means we expect 80% of us will.
Temps Saturday afternoon will be in the low 90s, getting awfully close to the record for the date which is 94°.
A weak cool front comes through Monday cutting temps back to the mid 80s and bringing 30% coverage of storms.
After that, there are no signs of the hot and dry pattern breaking anytime soon. Temps will likely hold in the low 90s as we head into Memorial Day weekend.
