Police looking for thief after armed break-in placed nearby schools on lockdown in Huntersville
A suspect, described as six feet tall with a thin build, was wearing a black ski mask, went into the home with a gun and took money from the victim.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Huntersville Police Department says they are investigating an armed breaking and entering case in the Stephens Grove neighborhood.

Police say they responded to Glengarrie Lane for an armed breaking and entering Thursday.

A suspect, described as six feet tall with a thin build, was wearing a black ski mask, went into the home with a gun and took money from the victim.

The victim reportedly suffered minor injuries due to a fall.

Officials say nearby schools were placed on lockdown, but there was no danger to the community. The names of the schools placed on lockdown were not released.
