CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A stun gun was found on the campus of Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Charlotte Thursday.
According to a message sent to families from Principal Jennifer Dean, a student had the stun gun in their backpack.
Dean said administration was notified and the situation was handled.
The principal says no students were in danger or threatened and classes went as normal. The school was never on lockdown.
“Please speak with your children about bringing inappropriate items to school. Any student who violates the Code of Student Conduct will be disciplined according,” the message read.
