CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - For the second straight morning, Charlotte started the day at a refreshing 45°, way below average for mid-May.
The balance of the day will feature partly to mostly sunny skies with afternoon readings in the middle 70s. The humidity level is still bone dry as well, get outdoors and enjoy the awesome weather!
Clear and seasonably cool tonight, with lows settling back into the 50s and we’ll stay nice on Thursday with sunshine dominating and comfortable humidity levels, though the afternoon temperatures will rebound to the lower 80s.
We turn considerably warmer by Friday with high temperatures jumping to the upper 80s then. As of now, isolated storms (maybe 20% chance – at best) are possible over the weekend, with the best chance over the mountains.
The bigger weather story this weekend will be the heat, as I’m forecasting upper 80s to near 90° both days, the hottest so far this season! The trend of well-above-average heat and humidity looks to hold from Monday and Tuesday of next week as well.
Hope you have a great hump day!
