First Alert Sunday declared as showers and thunderstorms remain a possibility

Sunday morning forecast

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It is a First Alert Sunday! This will be another unsettled day. Showers and thunderstorms continue to be a possibility any time during the day. Some of the storms could be strong to severe.

Heavy rain and localized flooding could become an issue since we got so much rain yesterday. Gusty winds and hail are also possible.

An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. Make sure you have a way to get the latest information – like the WBTV weather app.

The new week will be much different! Temperatures will be in the mid 70s through Wednesday. The humidity will also remain low. Rain chances will be almost zero after the system moves out on Monday morning. By the end of the week, we will begin to creep back into the low 80s.

Happy Mother’s Day!
