Woman accused of assaulting disabled clients at Iredell County group home
Brionna Sherrill was charged with seven counts of misdemeanor assault on an individual with disabilities

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A woman faces multiple charges of assault on an individual with disabilities.

On April 4, a report was filed in reference to three disabled clients who had been assaulted by an employee at a group home.

According to a report from Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, “evidence in this case was gathered and showed Brionna Sherrill was identified as the suspect, and she had assaulted the three victims.” The victims, ages 20, 16 and 12, are all mentally and physically disabled.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Sherrill on seven counts of misdemeanor assault on an individual with disabilities. She was arrested May 3 and issued a $2,500 secured bond.
