CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Today will look and feel a lot like yesterday, with a mixture of clouds and sunshine and afternoon readings in the lower 80s.
As for rain, the chances are pretty low today, with just a stray thundershower in one or two neighborhoods. Once the sun goes down, we’ll settle back into muggy 60s again overnight with an isolated lingering shower and a few fog patches possible.
The humidity level will continue to inch up as we move toward Friday and the weekend, and unsettled weather is likely to return as a slow-moving cool front approaches the region. The rain chance will still be relatively low on Friday – maybe 40% chance – but as the front moves over the WBTV area over the weekend, there’ll be a much greater risk for more widespread downpours.
Highs will still be in the lower 80s Friday, but with more clouds and better rain chances, afternoon readings likely won’t get beyond the upper 70s over the weekend. At this point, the severe weather risk looks relatively low, but there could be heavy downpours from time to time over the weekend, so a back-up plan to any outdoor activities is probably a good idea.
By Monday, rain is expected to move out with sunshine and lower humidity moving back in.
Hope you have a great day!
