CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Today will look and feel a lot like yesterday, with a mixture of clouds and sunshine in the forecast and afternoon readings in the lower 80s.
And much like yesterday, a few thundershowers are going to develop this afternoon over the mountains and some of these will probably drift out into the foothills and Piedmont late in the day. That pattern is likely to repeat itself Wednesday and Thursday as well.
In the meantime, any evening thundershowers around Charlotte will die down and give way to overnight lows near 60° with a few fog patches possible.
The humidity level will continue to inch up day by day and by late week, unsettled weather is likely to return as a slow-moving cool front approaches the region by Friday, leading to a greater risk of more widespread downpours.
Model data suggests that front may stall over the holiday weekend and so our rain chance will remain elevated – 50% to 60% - Saturday and Sunday, stay tuned.
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!
