CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The weekend front that brought heavy showers and storms has finally pushed offshore and drier high pressure is now building in and will dominate our weather through at least the mid-week period.
So, get ready for a nice drop in the humidity today with plenty of sunshine to go around and warm afternoon readings in the upper 70s.
Clear and seasonably cool tonight, most neighborhoods will drop back into the 50s with a few fog patches possible.
Our weather will remain fairly uneventful through the mid-week period, with plenty of sunshine in the forecast, though the humidity level will start to ramp up by Wednesday. Expect highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s with dry conditions.
The humidity level will continue to inch up by late week with unsettled weather eventually returning. There is a slight chance for a thundershower late Thursday, though that looks to be mainly confined to the mountains. By Friday, a frontal system is forecast to move closer to us, so our storm chances will be on the increase.
Model data suggests that front may stall over the holiday weekend and so our rain chance may remain elevated Saturday and Sunday, stay tuned.
Hope you have a great week!
