Roads reopen after wrecker takes down multiple traffic lights, power lines causing crashes in Huntersville
The Huntersville Police Department said a wrecker towing a large box truck caused what they described as “chaos.”

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (WBTV) - Officials say all roads are reopened after a wrecker took down multiple power lines and traffic lights, causing crashes in Huntersville Friday evening.

According to the Huntersville Police Department, Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road was closed between Reese Boulevard and Hambright Road. Police say Statesville Road was also closed between Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road and Gilead Road.

Officers say multiple traffic lights were not working due to crashes and power lines down.

The Huntersville Police Department said a wrecker towing a large box truck caused what they described as “chaos.”

Police say the wrecker took down multiple power lines and traffic lights, causing traffic crashes.

Huntersville police said all roads were reopened around 6:30 p.m. The police department extended thanks to everyone who assisted.
