CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A First Alert Day has been issued for Saturday with a line of strong storms expected to develop to our west late during the afternoon and towards the evening.
So most areas will stay dry through mid-afternoon with storms arriving late afternoon toward dinner time.
As the line rolls through from west to east, some embedded strong to severe storms are possible, with damaging wind gusts the main threat, especially between 5-8 pm.
After this, there will likely be a lull in the activity overnight until early Sunday when a final round of rain develops.
As the batch exits, a couple of departing storms are still possible through about 2pm or so before drying out towards evening.
Beyond that, we look relatively dry and quiet into next week. .
