CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - After a sunny and very warm end to the weekend with highs in the middle 80s, an easterly breeze and a little more cloud cover will knock us back in the more seasonal middle 70s today, the coolest day of the week.
Looking beyond today, temperatures will rebound around high pressure, generally running in the mid-upper 80s Tuesday through Friday, well above average for late-April/early-May.
As for rain, isolated storm chances in the mountains are possible by Thursday, but for the rest of us it looks like Friday and the upcoming weekend may be a little unsettled.
Our next front approaches Friday reintroducing the rain and storm threat. And, instead of clearing to the south and drying out for the weekend, the front looks like it will stall over us all weekend long. So as of now, both upcoming days of the first weekend of May look like they will bring scattered storms. Even so, a washout seems unlikely, so don’t cancel outdoor plans just yet.
Hope you have a great week!
